Austin Bridge & Road, as part of a joint venture, was selected for this $79 million design-build project to upgrade US-77 (between Kingsville and south of Driscoll) to interstate standards. The project improved safety and mobility, expanded capacity, and encouraged economic growth throughout South Texas. Kingsville to Driscoll was just a portion of the overall upgrade that runs from Corpus Christi to Harlingen. Major elements included five grade-separated interchanges, 10 bridge structures, 155,000 SF of MSE walls, 6.3 miles of new frontage roads, and the reconstruction of two intersections.
