Austin removed and replaced 1000 feet of asphalt runway at the Robert Gray Army Airfield for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a concrete paving subcontractor. Our scope included removal of the existing asphalt runway pavement and base material followed by new underdrain, subbase, rigid base and 17” of concrete pavement installation. The project consisted of 10,500 cubic yards of concrete produced and paved by Austin.
