The Terminal Redevelopment and Improvement Program at Charleston International Airport aimed to create a first-class facility reflecting the quality and beauty of Charleston and South Carolina. Managed by Austin, the project extended Concourse B with five new gates, bringing the total to 15, and renovated Concourses A and B to enhance customer amenities. The apron was expanded for more aircraft space, and the TSA checkpoint was consolidated into a single, central security checkpoint for increased efficiency. The Central Hall was renovated with floor-to-ceiling windows for expansive airfield views, and concession and retail spaces were updated. This redevelopment increased the airport's capacity from 2.5 to 4 million annual enplanements and significantly improved terminal comfort.
