Austin Commercial was selected as Construction Manager/General Contractor to provide preconstruction and construction management services for the American Airlines Center. The multipurpose arena is home court for the NBA Dallas Mavericks and the NHL Dallas Stars Hockey Club. The state-of-the-art design accommodates concerts and family shows as well as other events. The master plan creates an urban style environment for retail stores and restaurants on the first level around the base of the arena.

The arena includes 2,500 premium seats for club seat holders, 120 private luxury suites between lower and upper seating decks, three restaurants, a club lounge, direct parking access for suite and club patrons and innovative retractable seating for efficient reconfigurations for basketball, hockey, concerts and other special events.
