The 55-story JPMorgan Chase Tower (formerly Texas Commerce Tower), located in the northeast sector of downtown in the Arts District area, was completed in 1987 for repeat customer, Trammell Crow. The building has curves, unusual angles and one obviously large opening. Sky Window soars 75 feet from the 44th through the 49th floor and is 27 feet wide.
The exterior is polished/flamed granite with gray-glass windows. The tower is accented by a narrow row of bay-like windows along the center of each of the four facades and the corners of the tower are indented. The tower tapers at the top, mostly all glass. One of the most unusual features other than the sky window, is that the tower has hardly any square cuts.
