LA PORTE, Texas - Austin Industrial announced it has been named Best-In-Class at the 2021 Contractor Safety Performance Awards Banquet by the Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana.

This marks the third consecutive year Austin Industrial has won the award, bringing positive recognition to the company's maintenance organization at the LyondellBasell Lake Charles Polymers Plant in Westlake, LA.

Additionally, the Lake Charles team recently celebrated 19 consecutive years without a recordable injury at the site, an impressive safety performance, and a testament to the team’s commitment and relationship with the client.

The Contractor Safety Performance Awards Banquet recognizes and celebrates contractors’ dedication to cultivating a strong safety culture. Nominees are ranked based on a grading system outlined by OSHA standards, along with enforcement of safety regulations. The Best-In-Class awards are reserved for companies that obtained the highest scores in each category. Austin was recognized in the General Contractor with 75,000-500,000 work hours category.
