DALLAS - Austin Commercial marked the start of the inaugural Construction Inclusion Week on Oct. 18, a unified effort by industry leaders to celebrate and embrace diversity, ensure inclusion is fostered, and promote equity. All members of the construction community are invited to participate in the week's events, all designed to build the foundation for inclusion in our industry.
Throughout the week, each day will focus on a particular topics specific to diversity and inclusion, with tools and resources designed to foster conversations (even difficult ones) and action on the part of participating companies.
"The existence of diversity must not be ignored," said Jordan Price, Project Manager - Austin Commercial. "For the good of our company's growth and cultivation of new partnerships, we must maximize our intent to be inclusive and embrace its existence."
"Celebrating, encouraging, and growing a culture within the construction industry that is diverse, welcoming, and inclusive of all people will make us all better," said Brad Brown, President - Austin Commercial. "While Austin Commercial has long been recognized within our industry as a diversity and inclusion leader, there's always room to improve."
