IRVING, TX - Austin Asphalt was pleased to announce in October its second-highest ever monthly output for outside sales for the month of September. In addition to its sales success, the company reported progress in ts plant expansion strategy, as two new plants near completion in Texas.
"September was a great production month for the plants, and that's a testament to the hard work put in by our outside sales team.," said Eric Schranz, General Manager of Plants - Austin Asphalt. "It takes a coordinated effort, and we couldn't have done it without our plant operations, quality control, and logistics teams working together, and I want to thank everyone who contributed."
Fueling the success, the company's Bridgeport asphalt plant added its third 200-ton hot mix storage silo. Also, a third 30,000-gallon AC tank was installed in addition to a mineral filler silo. With these components, the plant is built out to full capability, according to plans made in 2016.
For the San Antonio location, one of the company's portable plants was relocated in April, with a system of three 200-ton hot mix storage silos added in July. The San Antonio location is now at full operational capability.
Schranz added, "Thank you to our plant operations team for these critical plant component installations, which were performed safely and on schedule.”
