Federal Reserve Bank

This 1 million-square-foot, 15-story district bank sits on an eight-acre site and is constructed of granite, aluminum and glass. Completed in August 1992, the structure has been designed to be functional, efficient and aesthetically pleasing with energy efficient, low maintenance materials. The building features a complete operations and office facility, a parking garage for 775 vehicles, a data center, cash and check processing areas, large vaults, employee dining, an exhibition area, and traditional bank function areas.

Austin Commercial’s involvement began in the pre-construction phase working as a team member with the bank, architect and engineers providing valuable budget, scheduling and logistics planning. Similar Federal Reserve Bank facilities have required five years to complete the full process. The Dallas bank was completed in three years from concept to move-in. Another unique service Austin Commercial provided was the management of all the fixed furniture and equipment.
