Austin Industries maintains relationships with the construction industry’s top associations. Our management team is heavily involved in organizations such as the Associated Builders & Contractors, the Associated General Contractors of America, the National Center for Construction Education & Research and dozens more. These associations allow us to strengthen the role and leadership of Austin companies within various industries, where we share best practices and keep abreast of changes and advancements in the industry.

Austin Industries is a member of the Construction Industry Ethics and Compliance Initiative (CIECI), a non-profit association of U.S. based construction industry companies that are dedicated to promoting integrity and ethical conduct in the construction industry. Established in 2008 by thirteen visionary CEOs of construction companies, including Austin Industries, the organization has grown to nearly 40 member companies today. CIECI does not attempt in any way to regulate or sanction the behavior of its member organizations or other construction industry participants. The sole purpose of CIECI is the promotion and advancement of ethical conduct and compliance in the construction industry.

ESOP Associations

Austin Industries is a founding member of Employee Owned S-Corporation of America (ESCA), the voice in Washington, D.C. that speaks exclusively for employee-owned S corporations (“S ESOPs”). Pride in ownership has driven Austin’s continuous growth since becoming employee owned in 1986. The continued growth is a testament to, among other things, the incredible commitment of Austin’s employee- owners. When employees own their companies, as they do at Austin Industries, the pride of ownership shows through, and is a real factor that contributes to a high-performing business.

ESCA membership represents almost 130,000 employee-owners in virtually every state in the nation, engaging in a broad spectrum of business activities and are a variety of sizes – from 25-person businesses to companies with 9,000+ employee-owners – but all have one thing in common: a commitment to preserving the S corporation ESOP structure and expanding it so that more working Americans can become employee-owners.

The ESOP Association (TEA), Southwest Chapter

Since its inception in 1978, The ESOP Association has represented the interests of all corporations that sponsor employee stock ownership plans, or ESOPs. The ESOP Association provides advocacy and educational services on behalf of its members. Corporate membership in The ESOP Association is open to all ESOP companies; members range from closely held businesses to large public companies, and include both C and S corporations, across all industries. The ESOP Association welcomes all corporate members and pledges that advocacy and educational initiatives will continue to serve the entire ESOP community.
